Pro-Lab Diagnostics, founded in 1974, is a Canadian manufacturer of immunodiagnostics with a Women’s Health line of products used to aid in the detection of rupture of the fetal membranes.

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is the rupture of the fetal membranes before the onset of labour.

PROM is defined as the rupture of membranes before the onset of regular uterine contractions at term gestation (≥ 37+0 weeks’ gestation).

PPROM (preterm prelabour rupture of the membranes) is defined as the rupture of membranes before the onset of regular uterine contractions at < 37 weeks’ gestation.

AmnioTest™ is a globally used qualitative, pH based sterile swab.

PRO·Mcomplete™ is a simple and rapid qualitative immunochromatographic test for in vitro detection of
IGFBP-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-Binding Protein-1) and AFP (Alpha-Feto Protein) from amniotic fluid in a vaginal swab sample.

Amniotest™ and PRO·Mcomplete™ are Health Canada approved products.
